Indigo appoints Rajagopalan Raghavan as the new SVP –HR

Amazons HR executive, Rajagopalan Raghavan has been appointed by Indigo as the Senior Vice-President HR.

The Gurgaon headquartered airline company, Indigo has named Rajagopalan Raghavan as the new Senior Vice-President HR. Raghavan will report to Aditya Ghosh, the President at InterGlobe Aviation Limited.  

Aditya Ghosh in an e-mail addressing the Indigo employees confirmed the news that the board of InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. has approved the selection of Amazon’s HR executive, Raghavan.

Ghosh mentioned in the e-mail, “Raj will bring with him not only deep functional expertise in the area of human resources and talent management but also learnings of best practices from world-class companies that we all admire.”

Raghavan joined Amazon in 2011 as its India HR head and is now working as Asia Pacific director of HR. He has been with the company for over six years. Raghavan comes with an experience of over 30 years. Before joining Amazon, he worked with GE as the General Manager HR. He was heading the HR for HSBC India between 2005-2207.  He has also worked at Hindustan Unilever, Ford Motor Company, and HSBC.

The company also announced the appointment of Wolfgang Prock-Schauer as the Chief Operating Officer. He will be reporting to Aditya Ghosh, president and whole-time director, IndiGo and will be based in India.
