Umang Bedi, CEO of Facebook India and Managing Director, India and South Asia has put in his paper.  Sandeep Bhushan, Director- Consumer & Media, Facebook has been appointed as the interim Managing Director of India and South Asia.

Bedi joined the largest social media network company in July 2016. Before that, he was working as the Managing Director of Adobe for South Asian region. He took over from Kirthiga Reddy to lead Facebook India. According to a media report, it is learned that he resigned for personal reasons and to pursue his interest and a long-term goal. He leaves Facebook after completing a year at the firm.As reported in media, addressing the Facebook staff by e-mail, Bedi wrote, “Every day has been nothing but inspiring for me – knowing that our team, every day, is thinking about how we can realize our mission of giving people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.”

He further added, “I have always had a strong interest in entrepreneurship and driving large impact, and having spent the last one and half years here, and working closely with big and small businesses across the various industries, it has reminded me again how much I want to pursue this goal which I have always had.”

Bedi has over 17 years of experience and has worked with top companies like Satyam Computers (now, Tech Mahindra), Wipro Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Symantec Corporation, Intuit Inc, and Adobe.
