Getting the right talent at the right place
Sowmya Narayan, Chief People Officer, Uniqus Consultech, prioritises getting the right talent at the right place as the organisation is expanding into new markets and service offerings. For her, it is important to ensure that she brings in the right talent at the right time, in the right place, with the right cultural fit.
Besides, building future-ready skills is imperative, notes Sowmya. “We recognize the need for tailored upskilling programs that prepare our workforce for evolving industry trends and AI-driven innovation.” For Sowmya, elevating employee experience, well-being, and total rewards are other priorities for her in 2025.

Seizing emerging opportunities through skilling
Niren Srivastava - CHRO, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, highlights two of his focus areas for 2025. “The first is a focus on upskilling and capability building through leadership development programs and diverse learning modes. The urgency of becoming an agile organisation to seize emerging opportunities makes this a necessity,” explains Niren.
“To be ready for them, our workforce must be equipped with the right skills, which is why upskilling and capability development will remain a top priority,” adds Niren.
Echoing a similar sentiment, Vaishnavi Shukla, CHRO, Comviva, emphasizes that while the need to be future-ready has always been crucial, the pace of change today is unprecedented.
“Change is not new—organisations have always adapted to shifting landscapes—but what truly matters is aligning with the right driving forces to navigate these changes effectively,” says Vaishnavi.
In an era of a multi-generational workforce and evolving employee expectations, Vaishnavi highlights the importance of workforce planning, capability building, and skill enhancement as key focus areas.
“We are prioritising technology-driven upskilling to ensure that our people and products evolve at the speed of change, allowing us to deliver faster and more effectively to our customers. Additionally, we are committed to holistic employee well-being—fostering programs that integrate personal aspirations with professional growth while continuously investing in development.”
