Maveric Systems' innovative recruitment drive successfully Ended

This was the first-ever job hunt in India taking place via the radio medium

Who said job interviews happen in the board room of a company? Maveric Systems-a leading provider of IT Lifecycle Assurance with a strong focus on the BFSI and Telecom sectors-was on the lookout for the best suited candidate through an innovative recruitment campaign ‘Chasing Maverics’ with Chennai-based radio channel: Chennai Live. Spread over a period of 2 months, this was the first-ever job hunt in India taking place via the radio medium. The hunt has finally come to a successful end, and Dhanvin Sudarsan from Madras Christian College, Chennai has been chosen for the position of a Delivery Associate at Maveric Systems.

The competition started with twenty candidates who battled it out in sets of two, on-air during the Metro Mornings show on Chennai Live. The final 12 emerging contestants moved on to compete against each other in the semi-final round that took place in Chennai last week. Six contestants were chosen to battle it out in the final round that took place on the same day. The finale saw three rounds, where the contestants were put through grilling question and activity-based rounds by the Maveric and Chennai Live panellists; finally ‘the one’ candidate was chosen based on the way he performed.

Commenting on the occasion, V N Mahesh, Co-founder and COO, Maveric Systems said, “We at Maveric, have always looked for candidates who are energetic, have the presence of mind even under pressure, and find the most innovative ways to solve challenges. Dhanvin showcased these characteristics in all the rounds. We wish him all the best and welcome his enthusiasm on board.”

The second best candidate, Ivan David from Loyola College, won an iPad Mini.

Maveric Systems has always believed in encouraging the ‘Maveric’k in its employees; the Maveric spirit, which epitomizes adventure, only gets bolder. A flat and open organization; employees at Maveric find safety stifling. From walkathons, ALP Himalayan Expeditions, carathons and biking expeditions for the Maverics, the endeavour is to make every day at Maveric abound with opportunities.
