Online food livery platform Zomato has announced the appointment of Rakesh Ranjan as the new CEO of its food ordering and delivery business.

Earlier, Rakesh was working as the business head at Zomato. His elevation to CEO has come after the online food delivery platform reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter results.

In addition to the CEO appointment, Zomato has also named Rinshul Chandra as COO of the food ordering and delivery business and Rishi Arora as CEO of Hyperpure, a subsidiary of the company.

Before being named as COO, Chandra was vice president of product at the company. 

Arora worked as senior vice president of operations at Zomato-owned quick commerce platform Blinkit, before being elevated as its co-founder last year.
