Union Bank of India hires Rajnish Khare as Chief Digital Officer

Union Bank of India has appointed Rajnish Khare as its Chief Digital Officer, effective from November. In his new role, Khare will be responsible for the digital strategy, technology and other related matters of the bank.

Khare comes with over 23 years of experience in banking, building progressive and future shaping transformational experiences and capabilities for domestic and international banks.

Before joining Union Bank of India, Khare worked with HDFC Bank for more than eight years in various capacities such as head digital transformation, UX, API Banking, emerging technologies, social and new media and mobility.

He has expertise in digital strategy, technology, transformation, payments, digital channels, innovation, platforms, ecosystem and future ready initiatives. He mentors fintech and start-up across the globe and is a member of customer advisory board, a creator, investor, mentor for fintech/start-ups and is an international speaker.

He heads digital strategy and transformation across the bank with areas of focus around - digital business, technology, product engineering, innovation, fintech & ecosystem partnership, design and development, lending, payments, SME, investments, digital platform and channels.
