In a string of events, corporate honchos are making a beeline for politics. This week, after the most prolific news of V. Balakrishnan joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), it has been reported that the pioneer of low cost airlines in India, Capt. Gopinath has also joined AAP. The first to start this trend was Nandan Nilekani, who is reported to be one of the frontrunners to fight elections from a Congress ticket. Bangalore has been in the news owing to many corporate honchos joining mainstream politics.
