Dhanlaxmi Bank chief Amitabh Chaturvedi quits

The Managing Director and CEO of Dhanlaxmi Bank, Amitabh Chaturvedi, called it quits on Monday (February 6, 2012). His resignation comes, reportedly, on account of differences of opinion with the board of directors. Mr P. G. Jayakumar, Executive Director, has been given the charge as MD and CEO of the bank, subject to the Reserve Bank of India's approval.

The Managing Director and CEO of Dhanlaxmi Bank, Amitabh Chaturvedi, called it quits on Monday (February 6, 2012). His resignation comes, reportedly, on account of differences of opinion with the board of directors. Mr P. G. Jayakumar, Executive Director, has been given the charge as MD and CEO of the bank, subject to the Reserve Bank of India's approval.

In a similar note, Falguni Nayar is set to quit as Managing Director, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Ltd (KMCC) as she plans to pursue an entrepreneurial venture. However, she will continue to serve as an advisor to the group. Ms Nayar will be replaced by Ms Shanti Ekambaram who is the President of Wholesale Banking and director on the board of KMCC. She will additionally take on the responsibility of the investment bank.
