Google vice-president for South East Asia and India, Rajan Anandan has joined the board of Capillary technologies which is a cloud-based omni-channel retail solutions provider as reported by ET.

Founded in 2008, Capillary Technologies was headed by CEO Aneesh Reddy. It has raised $82.1million in debt and equity so far, including a series-C investment from private equity major Warburg Pincus in 2015.

The company was also in news earlier this year of acquiring Sellerworx, a company which makes seller support solutions. Capillary's clients include a wide array of retail chains and brands like Unilever, Walmart, LandMark Group and Puma among others.

Excited with his new role, Anandan said

'Capillary has scaled up to serve over 20,000 stores across Asia, processes about 10% of organised retail in India about 3-4% of this is in Asia. I am excited to mentor and share my learning with Aneesh Reddy and the team, help them scale the business to help enterprise retailers and marquee brands with digital transformation”.

Anandan is an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
