Indigo's Chief Commercial Officer steps down

In a media release, the company said, Kumar, who has been associated with the no-frills carrier for the last 12 years, has put in his papers to pursue other career interests.
Indigo's Chief Commercial Officer steps down

After working with Indigo Airlines for more than eleven years, the Chief Commercial officer has decided to move on from the company. This is the second high-level exit from the aviation company in last three months. 

William Boulter who is the Chief Strategy Officer will replace Sanjay Kumar in the organization. 

In a media release, the company said, “Kumar, who has been associated with the no-frills carrier for the last 12 years, has put in his papers to pursue other career interests. 

"The last 12 years at IndiGo has been the most satisfying and rewarding experience of my career," Kumar said.

IndiGo's Interim CEO Rahul Bhatia termed Kumar's contribution as significant. He said, "I am grateful for all his hard work since he joined in January 2007 and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," he added.

Sanjay joined Indigo in the year 2007 from Spice Jet where he was Vice President, Planning & Marketing for five years. He has also worked with Air Sahara for ten years. 

It can be recalled that Aditya Ghosh, President Indigo Airlines also stepped down in April.
