IT firms advice to employees: Travel less, stay safe against swine flu

In order to fight the growing menace and fear of H1N1 virus, leading IT companies like Infosys Technologies Ltd. have issued advisory to their employees to avoid traveling in places hit by swine flu pandemic. IT and BPO majors like Infosys and Cognizant which have 20,000 and 7,500 employees in Pune itself have reduced all inbound and outbound travel to and from Pune to prevent the spread of disease among their employees. The scheduled Engineering Services Outsourcing Summit has already fallen victim to the Swine Flu scare with the Industry body, NASSCOM postponing the date by over three months. Some companies have even started running awareness programmes among their employees.
