Cab aggregator Ola’s luxury cab head Abhimanyu Rawal has recently resigned from the company.  

Though not confirmed, but as per media reports, he has joined US retail firm. 

Rawal during his tenure was responsible for launch and expansion for luxury segment of the company. Ola, in May last year, launched Lux under which customers could book luxury sedans such as Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, BMW, Audi and Toyota Fortuner. The head of this category had quit within seven months of the launch of Lux. 

Ola’s head of new initiatives, Sundeep Sahni, also had quit the company. Sahni has joined Ola in July 2015; he was managing multiple Ola businesses including Ola e-rickshaw, Ola Shuttle, Ola Kaali-Peeli and Ola Auto.

Rawal commenced his career with Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Ola, he was with Housing.com. In September 2015, he joined Ola as head of Ola Prime in Mumbai and moved to the role of head of Ola Lux in May.

He is an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and has a dual degree from IIT Bombay. 

Ola is one of the India’s largest cab-hailing services, which was founded as an online cab aggregator in Mumbai.
