Rishad Premji along with Keshav R Murugesh, the Vice Chairman of NASSCOM and Debjani Gosh, President of NASSCOM will be responsible for helping NASSCOM execute its 2025 vision. Read on to know more about the development.
Rishad Premji appointed as the chairman of NASSCOM

Rishad Premji has been appointed as the Chairman of Nasscom (National Association of Software and Service Companies), the IT industry body for the year 2018-19. He was previously the Vice-Chairman. He succeeds Raman Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of Quatrro Global Services, who was the chairman of the body for the year 2017-18.

“Pleased to have Mr. Rishad Premji - Chief Strategy Officer, @Wipro on board as the Chairman of NASSCOM. We wish him all the best and support for the journey and his efforts to take NASSCOM and the technology industry to greater heights,” tweeted Nasscom.

In a statement given by Nasscom, Rishad Premji along with the current Vice Chairman, Keshav R Murugesh, CEO of WNS Global, and President Debjani Gosh will be leading Nasscom to carry out its diverse array of priorities to achieve the 2025 vision from the industry.

Rishad Premji said about his appointment, “I am honored to have the vote of confidence of the NASSCOM leadership team as we stand on the cusp of a digital transformation. I look forward to working closely with NASSCOM’s multiple and versatile teams, and continuing our endeavors to foster growth in changing times.”

Premji is the Chief Strategy Officer and Member of the Board of Wipro, and also leads Wipro’s M&A strategy. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and holds a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University in the US. He had also spent a year at the London School of Economics where he was part of the General Course Program.
