IPS officer, M Akhaya was appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer by the telecom officer. He is a 1998 batch IPS officer of Odissa cadre. His primary role will be to check corruption in the telecom sector. The department also indicated that more IPS officers will be considered for the post of CVO.
