Top B-school grads keen to work with microfinance firms

The micro-finance sector which spent some months setting its house in order is now making a quiet recovery. While banks and investors are making a cautious re-entry and now micro-finance firms are homing in on top management colleges to attract the best talent, an Economic Times report said. Students too want work experience with companies that are neither profit-focused nor immersed in social causes.

The micro-finance sector which spent some months setting its house in order is now making a quiet recovery. While banks and investors are making a cautious re-entry and now micro-finance firms are homing in on top management colleges to attract the best talent, an Economic Times report said. Students too want work experience with companies that are neither profit-focused nor immersed in social causes.

Micro-finance firms fit the bill and are entertaining resumes from the likes of IIMs and XLRI for internships and recruitments. The numbers are tentative but it appears that students are willing to forego hefty salaries and tread the middle path.
