Uber India’s business development head Mahesh Bhalla quits

Uber India’s Head of business development Mahesh Bhalla has quit in just four months of joining the US based online transportation networking platform as reported to ET.

Bhalla had joined Uber in May after working at QwikCilverng a gifting card solutions company as the president for nearly two years. Before joining that, he was working for Dell as its executive director of consumer and small & medium business in India, where he was also responsible for building Dell’s consumer strategy in India. He was also a part of the multinational firm Samsung. 

Although, Bhalla could not be contacted but his LinkedIn profile confirmed his exit from Uber. 

The San Francisco based company started building a local team gradually with a country head name Amit Jain being appointed last year and this is the first big exit from the corporate team in India. The company which is valued at over $62 billion has committed to invest $1 billion In India last July 2015. Travis Kalanick, Uber Founder said that this gigantic number could surpass either the US or China.
