Ola will hire over 100 freshers from B-schools, engineering colleges

The ride-hailing app company is planning to hire more than 100 freshers from reputed colleges in the country for various roles including product developers, software developers, research engineers, and business analysts.

Ride-hailing platform Ola announced its plans to hire more than 100 freshers for the roles of product developers, research engineers and business analysts over the next six to 12 months. 

Ola plans to target universities and colleges such as IIM (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, and Lucknow) and NIT, BITS Pilani and IITs (Delhi, Madras, Roorkee, and Guwahati) 

This targeted hiring program is a part of the campus placement initiative, Campus Connect, according to a statement by Ola. 

“The company will be hiring more than 100 software developers, research engineers, business analysts, product developers, management graduates, program managers to its team,” as per the statement. 

At present a total of more than 7,000 employees are engaged in areas including mobility, financial services, food, and fleet management. 

The Bengaluru-based organisation also conducts a campus induction program called ‘Elevate’ which is a 12-month program to enable campus recruits transition into the professional workforce directly from academics. 

“We are expanding our services globally, penetrating deeper within India with new product innovations, adding more verticals to our business; all of this opens up endless learning and growth opportunities for our people,” said Srinivas Chunduru, Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Ola. 

Campus hires spend time with leaders across different business verticals including call centres, dark kitchens and kiosks at mass transit hubs. 

“Hired earlier this year, more than 60 new hires are currently undergoing the 12-month training at Ola as a part of the ongoing edition of Elevate, according to Ola.
