Following the recent incidents of assault and violence against women, industry body CII has set up a task force for women's safety. The task force will be led by former CII President Subodh Bhargava who will also consult the industry, civil society, students and women's groups. The CII task force would also provide inputs to the government formed task force, which is being chaired by the union home secretary. The apex industry body will also work with business, industry and civil society for the issue, and will also look into aspects other than the law which have an overarching impact on attitudes and mindsets.
