'Let there be peace', Microsoft employees sing to Apple

Microsoft employees descend upon the New York City flagship Apple Store and sing a heartwarming rendition of “Let There Be Peace on Earth"

Microsoft has always bitten Apple with satirical commercials. However, the new ad by the tech-giant has moved far away from parody; instead the commercial is more on accepting each other and friendship.

To celebrate the holidays, Microsoft has filmed the commercial in front of the New York flagship Apple store on 5th Avenue, featuring a NYC children's choir along with Microsoft employees singing 'Let There Be Peace on Earth'. The ad shows Microsoft store employees walking up to the Apple store, singing while holding candles in their hands. The Microsoft employees, featuring in the commercial, were selected from across the country.

In the end, this positive outreach shows employees from Apple and Microsoft embracing in hugs.

According to AdAge, Microsoft had to request permission from Apple to film the advertisement outside its store, and the commercial required cooperation from both the parties. However, Apple store workers didn't know about the content of the ad.
