MrBeast, a famous YouTuber whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has purchased multiple homes in a neighborhood in North Carolina, not just for himself and his family, but also for his employees.

MrBeast, a 25-year-old millionaire, owes his fortune to YouTube, where his videos accumulate tens of millions of views.

He is recognised for popularising expensive stunt videos and high-budget productions on the platform, and is credited with being the fourth most-subscribed YouTuber in the world. In addition, his popularity on social media is attributable to his cash giveaways.

According to the New York Post, MrBeast, when not engaged in planning elaborate stunts for YouTube, is also keen on investing in real estate. It appears that he has recently purchased five homes located on a cul-de-sac in Greenville, North Carolina.

The New York Post reported that MrBeast purchased his first house on the street in 2018 for $320,000. The two-storey house spans 3,000 square feet and has four bedrooms. After buying the first house, he continued to acquire other properties in the neighbourhood.

In 2020, he acquired his second house for $263,000, and in 2021 and 2022, he bought three other properties in the neighbourhood, totalling $1.45 million. According to reports, MrBeast paid more than the market value for these houses.

All the houses on the cul-de-sac in North Carolina, except for one, are owned by Jimmy Donaldson. The remaining homeowners are said to be waiting for their children to complete their education before putting their house up for sale.

“My understanding is the folks who are holding out is similar to any reason why would anyone would have held out — its the best school districts in the area, and they have kids in school,” said Aaron Bowden, who sold his home to Donaldson last year.
