Swedish firms increase investment in India

The Business Climate survey, conducted by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in India reported that despite the economic climate, Swedish companies are bullish about investing in India. According to the survey, eight out of 10 Swedish firms are looking to invest in India. The number of incorporated Swedish companies in the Indian market has risen by 85 per cent since 2007. The report also highlighted the problems that these firms deal with in India. A majority of the leadership in these firms said that red tapism is the biggest challenge that they face in India and this takes up most of their time. These leaders also pointed toward bureaucracy as a big challenge.
