Vedanta urges employees to relinquish subsidy

The Vedanta Group of companies has appealed to its employees to relinquish their LPG subsidy in order to support the Prime Minister’s ‘Give it Up’ campaign. The “Opt” out campaign is targeted at helping the Prime Minister the target of 1 crore. The subsidy burden to the Govt. of India in 2013-14 was over Rs. 40000 crore.
