The Blackstone group backed BPO, Intelenet has hired three executives, two from its opponents, to boost growth and profitability in the Indian market.

Over a period of three months, Intelenet has hired former IIFL executive Jayati Chakraborty, Head of Operations, Aegis’ Senior Vice- President for South Africa operations, Deepak Ralli and Gaurav Bembey, Associate Director for CRM operations at Concentrix. All three executives have come in as Operation Directors. They will focus on improving the company’s domestic BPO business, which accounts for roughly 35% of its revenue. The local market is much more stringent as margins are lower than for the international business.

Sidharth Mukherjee, Head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Intelenet was quoted in media saying that the company is working on various new technologies both, internally and in collaboration with their partners and with rapid transformation they hope to accelerate the pace of digital.

He says, "Besides Robotic Process Automation (RPA), we are leveraging our deep-domain expertise in areas such as travel, mortgages, and healthcare to build game-changing platforms using neuro-linguistic programming and machine learning. With these rapid innovations, I hope to accelerate the pace of digital transformation, both for our clients and for us.”

The organization has also stated that it expects to grow to $1 billion in FY2020 from $400 million at the end 2015. The growth is supposed to come from drawing other Blackstone portfolio companies as potential clients, organic growth, and acquisitions.
