Technology has transformed HR as a function. It has been a great enabler, but there exists a question mark, whether it will dilute the role of HR? Shalini Pillay of KPMG believes it will. The key for companies is to meaningfully adopt technology solutions so as to not dilute the function. Also, companies will need to identify and define the purpose for both the company and the employees. This exercise will act as a personal touch that is required to humanize HR, supported by technology, to drive towards great efficiency. Along with strategy, companies will also need to ensure that the business and HR technology adoption are in sync.
