Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail has named Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as the new HR Head for Lifestyle Brands. His appointment is effective from June.

Prior to this, Gurucharan was heading Learning and Development for the Aditya Birla Capital group for about three years. Before that, he held the position of Vice President-Learning and Development for Birla Sun Life insurance.

In a career spanning over 18 years, Gurucharan has worked with renowned brands in the financial services sector such as Max Life Insurance Company and others such as Nicolas Piramal Ltd. 

Gurucharan’s appointment follows the exit of outgoing HR head Paras Kaushik who after working with Aditya Birla Group for 17 years, has now joined Samvardhan Motherson Group as Head of Group Human Resources. Before joining SMG, Kaushik was heading HR Lifestyle Business (Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Simon Carter) of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. At ABG he was responsible for end-to-end HR for an employee base of 21,000 in firm’s Retail Stores, Manufacturing Units and Corporate Office.
