Sanjit Banerjee joins Gi Group India as Executive Director

Gi Group India has appointed Sanjit Banerjee, previously Director at Experis, ManpowerGroup as Executive Director of Elixir Consulting –the Contingent Search brand of Gi Group, reporting to the International Business Senior Director & Country Head of India –Daniele Merlerati. 

Sanjit will be responsible for developing the Elixir brand further on the lines of Gi Group’s global brand for Search & Selection – Wyser. Elixir has redefined the way recruitment is done in India with cutting-edge expertise in recruitment for various industry verticals as it has different recruitment teams for different industry practices, along with a team that specializes in recruiting for African, South Asian and Middle East markets. 

The recruitment teams of Elixir set the standard for the industry with the use of industry’s best candidate management system which is followed by Gi Group globally. 

“I am thrilled that Sanjit will be joining our team”, says Merlerati. “He is one of the most experienced search and selection talent in the industry and has experience of business turn-around and shares our values and our focus on service. He has extensive experience in creating brand values that can be of great assistance in the creation of employee value proposition for Gi Group.” 

Sanjit has worked closely with leaders of Manpower Group, LG Electronics, and handled marketing & advertising assignments with J. Walter Thompson and BBDO before stepping into the world of Talent scouting. 

Sanjit said, “I am honoured to lead Gi Group. In Gi Group, we have strong capability and excellent track record of hunting talents for mid and senior level leadership assignments. This was confirmed further during my meetings with some of the top clients across the country. We will continue to drive that and further improve with the introduction of new processes.” 

During his assignment with the Manpower Group India, he had set up their Executive Search and RPO divisions and managed the complete permanent recruitment business of the group under the Experis brand. He also helped in setting up the Recruitment Shared Services, known as the CORE.

He was the recipient of Global Power Award for achieving business turnaround in India.
