WadzPay appoints Amit Malik as president- South Asia & Pacific

Singapore-based WadzPay, an interoperable and agnostic blockchain-based payments ecosystem, has appointed Amit Malik  as president- South Asia & Pacific. 

Previously, he was CEO and managing director with Aviva Life Insurance where he played multiple roles over the last 10 years. 

“As I begin a new chapter in my journey as President South Asia & Pacific at WadzPay, I am excited and raring to go. I get to work in Fintech Space with the team and the organisation that is building for the future and leading the next revolution in the Payments industry. I have an opportunity to be a part of WadzPay’s story and trajectory across countries: India, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Pacific,” Malik wrote in his social media post. 

Malik comes with over 23 years of experience across business transformation and growth, strategy and consulting, business restructuring, change management, digital strategy, financial analysis and impact, leadership and capacity development, and operations and customer services management. He has earlier worked with organisations like GlaxoSmithKline, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of America Continuum.

“Amit brings a unique set of skills, perspectives, and relationships to lead WadzPay in South Asia & Pacific. Under his leadership, we hope to build on our strategic direction, grow and develop our organisation, and build new partnerships," the company wrote in a social media post welcoming Malik.

Malik is a certified coach from ICF and Erickson and was Awarded ‘Top 40 HR Leaders’ 2014 in the country by Asia Pacific HR Congress.
