Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, who left Go Air and joined IndiGo in February 2018 as COO has been sued by its former employer in the Bombay High Court for allegedly stealing confidential data.  As per the court's document, the alleged theft of information occurred within a week of him joining IndiGo.

As per the report, a 13 February court order shows that a GoAir lawyer had submitted sealed documents he said belongs to his firm and were stolen by Prock-Schauer. According to the order, Prock-Schauer’s lawyer said he will not “use and/or copy and/or publish and/or disclose any of the confidential information, trade secrets and/or know-how belonging to GoAir”.

Later on 14 March, the court had allowed Prock-Schauer’s lawyer to inspect the documents on the condition that they are kept confidential. The latest hearing on the matter was held on 27th April, where it was highlighted that the company doesn’t want to settle. Next hearing will be on 15th June.

At the latest hearing, senior counsel Janak Dwarkadas appearing for Prock-Schauer said, “During the last court hearing, we parted with the belief that the petitioners wanted to settle the case but now the company doesn’t want to settle. If the company had indicated this earlier, we would have gone ahead with the matter.”

Prock- Schauher had joined Go Air in June 2015 as it’s CEO and later in April 2016, he was appointed as the Managing Director. Recently, in February he had left Go Air on a sour note. His final months at the company were said to be marked by constant disagreements with the airline’s promoters at the Wadia Group. Apparently, there were disagreements between him and the Wadias over issues of yields and induction of foreign pilots as commanders for the airline’s new Airbus A320 planes.

Besides Go Air and IndiGo, Prock- Schauher has also worked with Jet Airways. He has also been the chief executive of British Midland International and Air Berlin (Germany/UK) in the past.
