France-based Alstom on Monday said Rathin Basu would be Country President of Alstom India & South Asia from April 1. At present, Basu is the Managing Director for Alstom T&D India, the Group’s arm that deals with transmission and distribution business. He will succeed Sunand Sharma, who will continue to support Alstom’s businesses as advisor with focus on the neighbouring countries of India and as a Board Member of several legal entities, Alstom said in a statement.
