As a face-saving scamper, the company announced that it has rolled out a special training program to sensitise employees on a “need” basis. The HR space has a new player in Flipkart. The e-commerce giant recently announced that it has entered the education space with the launch of a new portal for e-learning. The space will provider learning content for competitive tests.
A recent survey by Monster India reveals that women in India earn as much as 27 per cent less than their male counterparts. This does not speak well of corporate houses who speak highly against gender discrimination. In the senior leadership space, Shikha Sharma got a year extension at Axis Bank. The announcement was made on Tuesday, 20th January. She was reappointed as the MD and CEO. Besides that Taranjit Singh was appointed as the head of sales at Twitter. Fred Weick was appointed as head for Diamler. In addition, Vodafone’s Martin Peters has stepped down and the company’s COO Sunil Sood will replace him.
