India lags China in gender diversity count in MNC R&D centres: Study

A new study pegs the average gender diversity in multinational companies' Indian R&D centres at 21%, way below China's 30% and the global average of 31%. The study by research firm Zinnov cites marriage, maternity, and spouse's relocation and family problems as top reasons for the high attrition among women employees. The study involved the responses of over 500 women in multinational companies in the country.
