Indian firms reluctant to hire returning mothers

A study conducted by Regus highlights that 75 per cent of firms in India are reluctant to re-hire returning mothers into the workforce. The study was conducted among 19,000 business owners and senior managers in 98 countries. Some of the other highlights from the study include 71 per cent of Indian respondents report women wanting more flexibility, such as remote working, and 58 per cent responding that women are taking shorter maternity leaves.
