2 year sabbatical for female SBI staff

SBI has announced that women employees are entitled to 2 year sabbatical for children’s education. The bank has likely plans to roll this out for single male parents too. This is the first time a state run banking organisation has put together such a scheme for employees. The SBI Chief, Arundhati Bhattacharya, had implemented a sabbatical system for six years for women during her previous stint as Head of SBIs investment banking.
