Emerging markets and developed economies in the ASEAN region have increasingly become the education and industry center thanks to globally recognised universities and research facilities. Reputation of the university students and alumni among employers plays a crucial role in measuring the educational facilities’ success, according to the QS Asia University Rankings.

Employer reputation and academic reputation accounted for 20 percent and 30 percent of the ranking decision, respectively. The National University of Singapore scored a 100 on both employer and academic reputation in the industry indicators, thus placing first on the list of QS Asia University Rankings. The Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) ranked third while the University of Hong Kong placed second.

Malaysia’s Universiti Malaya and China’s Tsinghua University and Fudan University are a part of the top 25 universities on this list.

Moreover, the National University of Singapore moved up one ring of the ladder from its previous second place to the coveted first place.

Almost six universities from South Korea and Japan each, are among the top 25 educational facilities.
