The 2011 Global Top companies for Leaders an initiative by Aon Hewitt is an outcome based on the company’s leadership strategy, succession planning, techniques for identifying high-potential junior employees, and much more. This year, U.S. companies no longer dominate global leadership development, even though legendary talent factories like IBM, P&G and GE still appear on the list. Whirlpool too made the list despite announcing 5,000 layoffs last month, which goes to show that great leadership programs don't guarantee success. Five Indian firms viz, Aditya Birla, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and Wipro feature in the list.
