As Hike focuses on growth and innovation, it continues to strengthen its senior leadership, especially in tech roles. The company had recently announced the hiring of Seema Chawla as VP & Head of Marketing. Now it makes another appointment and ropes in Suvesh Malhotra as VP & Head of Engineering. 

In his previous stints, Malhotra has been SVP, Technology at OYO Hotels & Homes leading consumer-facing technology, Head of Technology at Amazon for BuyVIP, flash sales e-commerce platform, CTO at StepOut, a startup building social products in India and similar stints at Homeshop18 and Oracle.His expertise with building large scale distributed systems, mobile apps, ML-based systems, social network, eCommerce platforms, and IoT technologies, will add to the company’s efforts towards innovating at the intersection of Art, AI & consumer delight.

Meanwhile, Hike continues to hire for positions across teams and functions. The company has also recently gone Remote-First for all of 2020. Hike is also open to hiring remote talent. It has even initiated virtual hiring events as part of its ZeroTo2 program focused on onboarding young talent from colleges. Many other companies have been also hiring remotely and this seems to now becoming the new normal, as the pandemic made people realize the benefits of this work structure.
