SHAREit appoints Jason Wang as the Managing Director of India

SHAREit has appointed Jason Wang as the Managing Director for the India business. Jason will be the MD for India and Vice President for Emerging Market. With over one billion users globally of which 30% are from India, SHAREit aims to sharpen its focus on local consumers, attain more user base in India and build into an infrastructure company.

“India has a huge potential to grow as the smartphone penetration is ever increasing and people have access to unlimited information. India also has a huge diversity to offer which poses a great opportunity for SHAREit to further customize and localize their product for the consumers. It currently has over 300 million downloads in India which is almost equal to the cyber population of the country. We have also observed that Indian users mostly prefer sharing video content, music and less apps and games. We at SHAREit aim to enable the local consumers through the partnership with local partners," said Jason Wang.

India is currently under the digitization phase wherein the adoption rate of technology is exponential. SHAREit realizes this and has embarked upon a strategic move of making information more accessible to tier 2 and tier 3 areas. SHAREit is one of the only apps that has crossed 300 million downloads in a short span. It aims at being the most preferred platform for content sharing and information acquisition among internet users in India.
