Sunstone Eduversity announced the appointment of Vipin Jain as their new Chief Technology Officer. With years of hands-on expertise in Digital Product Development, Vipin will be responsible for Sunstone Eduversity’s digital expansion and will bolster its mission to become India’s first EdTech with a Hybrid (online + offline) method of teaching.  

Speaking of Vipin’s appointment at Sunstone Eduversity, Co-founder & COO, Piyush Nangru said, “We are very thrilled to have Vipin join us and are confident that his technological expertise will be an immense value addition to Sunstone’s vision of creating a Hybrid learning space. “

He also added that through digital expansion, the company is set to deliver a standardized and highly relevant employment-centric college education throughout the country, without any geographic restrictions.

Prior to joining Sunstone’s leadership team, Vipin has held the positions of CTO at the Electric Vehicle company, Mytrah Mobility and CT/PO at the leading international auction house, Saffronart. At Saffronart, he was responsible for building India's first hybrid auction platform to feature real-time simultaneous offline and online bidding. The platform has been used to auction off the highest valued works in the Indian art industry to set world records.

Speaking of his appointment, Vipin said, “I have always believed that higher education can work as a transformation tool for students, in more ways than one. The quote “Don’t die with your music still inside of you” has always acted as a resounding reminder for me to help people unlock their potential and talents through constant mentoring. It’s unfortunate that quality higher education is not accessible to many, due to limitations in terms of finances, geography, merit score, etc. With Sunstone, I envision to take quality education beyond these boundaries and make it easily accessible to all.”

Having done his Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and Masters of Computer Science at University of Cincinnati, Vipin has an academically profound background which he leveraged to its full potential in his journey to becoming a seasoned executive. During his professional course, he gained digital, internet, & mobile product development and management experience working with world-class organizations such as Yahoo Inc and Oracle, among other prominent names in the Silicon Valley. It is this vast expertise that Sunstone Eduversity is hoping to leverage on as the company looks to expand their horizons.
