The Dalai Lama and WHO announce $100,000 on education

The Dalai Lama and WHO Goodwill ambassador, Yohei Sasakawa, announced a donation of $100,000 for five years for the education of children from leprosy-affected families. The donation will be administered jointly by Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation (SILF) and the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL). The donation will focus on the completion of professional education by these children.
