Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the company has been bleeding employees left and right. In the beginning, the billionaire fired people from the IT department, and now, staff from the sales team will be laid off.

While the exact number of employees who will be terminated is still unknown, however, another bunch of people has certainly been impacted adversely.

A report by The Information said till last month, Twitter had about 800 employees in Sales and Marketing teams. Several changes are being made at the tech giant, including the closure of the offices in Delhi and Mumbai to send the staff home. 

However, this wasn’t another round of layoff at the Twitter office, but just a measure to send employees to work from home to cut some costs. 

On the other hand, Twitter India’s office in Bangalore is still functional as it houses most engineers. 

Last year, when Elon Musk took over Twitter, he fired nearly 3,500 employees, signalling that tech layoffs are here.
