Hiring companies across India are increasing the use of Facebook and Twitter as channels for background verification. According to news reports, companies have beefed up their monitoring mechanisms for prospective candidates. More than 50 per cent of hiring managers in IT organisations scan a prospective candidate’s Facebook profile during hiring.
