The Noida based on-demand home service startup, Lifeasy is planning to hire 250 employees this fiscal. Jeet Narayan Singh, Co-founder of Lifeasy shares in media, “On-demand home service sector is witnessing unprecedented growth, and we expect the business to grow for Lifeasy at the pace of about 5X in 2018 and will be adding 250 additional team members to support our business growth.” He was further quoted in media saying that the company is diversifying its service portfolio and increasing the density of technical workforce in service locations.

Lifeasy was founded in the year 2016 by Rakesh Gupta, Jeet Narayan Singh, and Gagneet Singh Ahuja. The company assists in solving the challenges faced by the household in getting skilled and reliable technicians.

On-demand services incorporate all digital marketplaces that offer convenient access to goods and services. According to a report by Harvard Business Reports, on-demand companies attract nearly 22.4 million customers annually.

Talking about the Indian marketplace, the online services market in India has reached $70 million in 2017, with players like Housejoy, Urban Clap, and QuikrEasy. According to Redseer Consulting, these companies are said to observe significant growth Quarter-on-Quarter. The consulting firm predicts that the market is expected to grow to $300 million by 2020.

Earlier this year in March, the founders announced in media that the platform has become cash-positive and profitable since March. Lifeasy March's revenue was Rs 50 lakh without seeking help from investors. The founders have invested Rs 1.25 crore in the business.
