Truecaller announced that they have appointed Odd Bolin as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Odd will be joining the management team and overseeing the financial management and operations to support the company’s growth, and to prepare the company for an initial public offering (IPO.) This is the second senior hire the company has made in the past two months to strengthen the management team.

Prior to this appointment, Odd was the Group CFO at Sinch, a global player in cloud communications for mobile customer engagement where he helped take the company public and led half a dozen international acquisitions, including Sinch’s 130 million USD acquisition of Mblox in 2016. He has also been Group CFO at Zacco, one of Europe’s largest intellectual property firms, G5 Entertainment, a leading international developer of mobile games, and Cybercom, one of the largest IT consultants in the Nordic region. Previous to that, he was a stock market analyst and M&A advisor. Odd has a PhD in Plasma Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Commenting on Odd’s appointment, Alan Mamedi, CEO and co-founder, Truecaller said, “As Truecaller is preparing for an IPO, Odd will play a key role in the process. We have strong confidence in Odd’s expertise and previous experience in taking high growth companies public, and we believe that he will add great value to the company and the management team.”

In 2020 Truecaller grew its active user base with 25% - growing from 213 million active users at the beginning of the year to 267 million active users at the end of 2020.
