Two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company has appointed Sudarshan Venu as its joint managing director with immediate effect. 24-year-old Sudarshan Venu is the only son of Venu Srinivasan, chairman and managing director of TVS Motor, and Mallika Srinivasan. He was a whole time director with the company. "The company is steadily increasing its market share and the volume of its business. Its global business has also been increasing. Sudarshan has actively participated in the company activities," the company said in a statement that was issued on Wednesday. Sudarshan Venu will be functioning under the guidance of Venu Srinivasan.
