The third AIMA awards felicitated a wide array of corporate leaders who have left a mark with their contributions to the growth of not just their respective companies but also the overall industry. Y C Deveshwar, chairman of ITC was awarded the business leader of the year award. The Indian multinational of the year award went to Aditya Birla Group. Healthcare industry veteran Prathap C Reddy from the Apollo Group was honored with the lifetime achievement award. Nita Ambani was selected as the 'Corporate Citizen of the Year' for her contribution towards corporate social responsibility (CSR) through the Reliance Foundation.

Honoring outstanding contributions from leaders in the corporate world, the emerging business leader of the year was awarded to Malvinder Singh, Chairman & Shivender Singh, Vice Chairman, Fortis Healthcare (India) Ltd., while the transformational business leader of the year was given to Shikha Sharma, CEO & MD, Axis Bank. E Sreedharan, former MD, DMRC was awarded with outstanding institution builder award.

The award function was graced by Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Government of India and Pravin J Gordan, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Republic of South Africa.
