Customer service still not a strategic function for Indian corporates

92% of C-level executives and customer care professionals of Indian companies believe that customer service impacts company’s brand value according to a recent survey. Contrary to the above finding a follow up survey by Genesys Telecommunication Laboratories reveals that 90% of corporate houses still do not acknowledge this function as a strategic function of their organization. As India continues to emerge as a preferred destination for offshoring, the first survey uncovers a figure of USD 2.46 billion that India loses due to poor quality customer service every year.
