BSNL workers threaten strike

The Government’s proposal for merger between MTNL and BSNL has not gone down well with workers at BSNL. More than 2,50,000 workers at BSNL have threatened to go on immediate strike if the Government decides to merge the two entities. The workers union is also opposed to the Government’s intention to give away tower assets to a separate company.
