The Government of India has invited applications for the appointment of the vigilance commissioner in the central vigilance commission. Eligible officers have been asked to submit their applications by November 15th. The final authority of appointment of the vigilance commissioner rests with the President of India. The new incumbent will take over after the retirement of the current vigilance commissioner, R Sri Kumar.
