Sriram Sharma was on Thursday named leader of the southern operations of Mindshare, the flagship media-buying agency of GroupM, part of the London-based marketing communications group WPP Group Plc.

Sharma, who will assume office from 1 August, will handle all the media and digital operations for the agency’s clients in the southern region. He will be based out of the Bengaluru office and will be reporting to Prasanth Kumar, CEO-South Asia, Mindshare.
