After working with the channel for more than seven years, the media veteran has decided to move on from his current role.
COO of Viacom 18 steps down

Raj Nayak, COO of the entertainment company, Viacom 18 India has stepped down, cited media reports. Raj Nayak is a senior industry veteran who has more than twenty-five years of experience in the media and entertainment industry. 

He joined Viacom 18 in 2011 as CEO, Colors and took a various initiative to make the channel one of the most viewed channel in the general entertainment category. During his tenure with Colors, he introduced new shows that helped the channel to carve its own niche. 

In May 2017, he was elevated as the COO of Viacom 18 Group and he was looking after the entire portfolio of Viacom 18 Studio, OTT platform Voot and all the TV channels. 

Nayak has worked in different media companies and before joining Colors he was working with Aidem Ventures as the Managing Director. He has also worked with NDTV Media as CEO for eight years and also worked with Star TV as Executive Vice President.
